I passed up my dream sport-broadcasting internship with ESPN 17 years ago to become an educator. In a rather round about way, I began my educational endeavors seeking a degree in business management and sport journalism until I discovered the pure innocence and joy of children through physical activity instruction. This led me to teaching preK-8 grade students music, physical education and health and later as an elementary school Vice Principal.

In 2001, I was honored as Idaho’s only recipient of the National Disney American Teacher Award for creativity and compassion in Wellness & Sports. I am the only physical educator ever featured in Disney's Creative Teaching in the Classroom Video Series which highlights and promotes hands-on, standards-based education. Through the Disney Outreach program, I was trained and certified through the Boston Center for Collaborative Education (Critical Friends). In 2003 I earned National Boards for Professional Teaching Standards Certification (NBPTS) and a Master of Educational Leadership (MEd).

My whole life I have been blessed to be a part of a community service career that allowed me to be fueled by the energy and true eagerness of children. Their revealing desire to please in a structured, safe and rewarding environment guided my compassion toward my students. Then along came my direct sales business where I am experiencing that same inner growth. I am flabbergasted at the identicalness of fate and human fortune in now being able to work with ‘big children’ :O)

I worked for more than 20 years honing my skills in business leadership and strategic planning with companies of all sizes from the Fortune 500 to 'mom-and-pops'. Specifically my focus was on organizational planning, management of marketing and sales initiatives and development of distribution channels and partner programs. Some would say I am overly analytical, but most would give me high marks in the areas of interpersonal communication, new product assessments (R&D), market and partner development, and financial planning.

My educational foundation is business management and computers.  I have Bachelor degrees in both marketing and information technology (IT) along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.  I have enjoyed authoring several business development training programs including Developing a SUSTAINABLE Competitive Advantage - a proven systematic approach to marketing success and WINNING SALES - an introduction to the professional selling process™.  I was fortunate to be selected to co-author, with Dr. John F. Luthy (President, The Futures Corporation), a strategic planning and small business management workbook titled The Art of Practice Development - A Working Manual for Planning & Developing Your Practice.
 
A new vision for a new life - Together we now share a unique passion for our direct sales business.  It provides us with the flexibility we have always sought in our working careers and it challenges us to "Reach for the Stars" every day. To be able to share our dream with others is probably what "pumps us up" the most, especially with our Team - Team MagnifiSCENT!
